Job Description

  • Experience range: 4 to 6 years.
  • Extensive experience with BIG-IP LTM, GTM, APM & ASM in a large, shared environment
  • Design and implement Load Balancing solutions using industry best practices.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain highly available networks using Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM) technologies.
  • Hands on technical experience with and very knowledgeable on LAN/WAN operations, protocols, and concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, Encryption, DNS, SNMP, HTTP etc), UNIX or Linux operating systems, networking hardware and virtual environments
  • Support Secure Socket Layer / Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and brokering PKI authentication provided by the F5 Load Balancer
  • Experience in custom SSL, ciphers and LTM traffic performance optimization
  • Perform software upgrades, routine backups, LTM/GTM performance monitoring of F5 Load Balancer infrastructure.
  • Perform daily operational tasks in operating and maintaining the enterprise F5 load balancers in on-premises/cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in writing basic iRules and troubleshooting.
  • Perform security hardening of F5 devices, good knowledge on vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience in Authentication mechanisms and strategies with APM
  • Knowledge of TCPdump and packet capture and analysis
  • Deep understanding of networking, firewalls and system administration and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Develop or contribute to technical documentation including low level design documentation, standard operating procedures, deployment/build plans.
  • Communicate Load Balancer architecture designs/flows clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical decision makers.
