Role Purpose


The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

Location: Chennai

Skills: Aruba Products and switching and routing technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on knowledge, troubleshooting of TCP/IP, OSI model, LAN, WLAN and WAN.
  • Advanced understanding in configuring and troubleshooting Routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP etc.
  • Experience in troubleshooting LAN technologies like VTP , STP, ACL, Port-channel, lag, VSF and VSX etc, and Gateway redundancy protocols like HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
  • Must have migration and deployment documentation (LLD, HLD, Visio, testing script) and understanding of enterprise network: Switches, Access Point, ClearPass policy creation.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting LAN wireless issues, WiFi Controller, AOS upgrade on Access points, Gateways and switches, replacing devices in network.
  • Applies analytical skills and technical knowledge to resolve product and network problems of moderate to high complexity.
  • Co-ordinating with Carriers and working on troubleshooting on WAN links. Escalating issues at carrier end and driving issues till resolution and Customer Handling skills with proven ability to handle tough situations and control customer sentiments.
  • L3 engineers to mentor newly hired support engineers and peers in technical areas of specialty.
  • Good Knowledge in Configuring WPA, WPA2, 802.1X , PSK Authentication and AES, TKIP, WEP Encryption.
  • Good practical knowledge of RF plan Configuration on wireless switches and finding the online clients and rogue AP’s.
  • Proven experience with Network Management/Element Management Products like NMS, SNMP.
  • Strong knowledge in Aruba products like;
    • Switches: 6000, 8000 series
    • Access Points: 500 and 600 series 
    • ClearPass:  Virtual node deployment and maintenance
    • Gateways:  900 series
  • A technical expert providing technical assistance to Aruba customers located world-wide, while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Desired Skills

  • Strong Networking and in-depth knowledge in Aruba Central, CX family products, ClearPass, Gateways and APs.
  • Advantage for Automation knowledge, DDI services knowledge candidates.
  • Solid experience supporting and configuring medium to large enterprise LANs.
  • Troubleshoot product and network problems of high complexity.
  • Has strong in-depth knowledge in LAN Switching technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good Customer handling skills. Ability to handle tough situations effectively.
  • Certification: CCNP, ACMP, ACSP
