Role Purpose


The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

MAC JAMF PRO ( Mac Device Management – JAMF \ JAMF Platform )

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Device management: Administering and maintaining an organization's Mac device ecosystem using the Jamf Pro platform.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage macOS devices, software, and settings using JAMF Pro.
  • Automation: Develop scripts and workflows to automate routine tasks like software updates, patching, and configuration.
  • Security and compliance: Implement security policies, manage certificates, and monitor for compliance with security benchmarks and frameworks.
  • Support and troubleshooting: Provide technical support, diagnose and resolve Mac and JAMF-related issues for end-users, and handle escalated incidents.
  • Inventory and monitoring: Monitor device inventory, performance, and usage to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement migration plans to move Mac devices from Jamf Pro to Intune  MDM. This includes defining phases like preparation, delivery, and cleanup.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Integration: Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Mac devices and JAMF with other systems, such as Active Directory or Azure AD. 

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Technical proficiency: Strong knowledge of macOS, the JAMF Pro platform, and related technologies.
  • Scripting skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash Or Applescript for automation.
  • Apple ecosystem: Deep understanding of Apple management tools and concepts like Apple Business Manager(ABM),Device Enrollment Program(DEP), and Volume Purchange Program (VPP).
  • Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Infrastructure knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and endpoint security.
