Playwright

Automation QA Test Automation Engineer 

Role Purpose

Our client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to strengthen our ServiceNow quality engineering practice.
This role sits at the crossroads of platform reliability and engineering excellence—designing automated tests that move fast, break little, and give teams confidence to ship.

The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with ServiceNow testing, modern UI automation frameworks, and a builder’s mindset toward scalable test automation.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for ServiceNow applications and integrations
  • Build end‑to‑end and regression automation for ServiceNow modules and custom workflows
  • Automate UI testing using Playwright with JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Validate ServiceNow functionality across upgrades, enhancements, and platform changes
  • Collaborate closely with developers, platform engineers, and QA teams to embed quality early
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive issues to resolution with clear evidence
  • Contribute to test strategy, standards, and best practices for ServiceNow automation 

Required Skills & Experience -Current Core Technical Skills for Test Automation 

  • Playwright + TypeScript/JavaScript
  • API automation
  • CI/CD basics
  • Exposure to ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB
  • Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow testing (manual and/or automated)
  • Strong experience in test automation development
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Test design principles
    • Functional, regression, and end‑to‑end testing
  • Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments

 Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cucumber / BDD-based automation
  • Working knowledge of Python for test automation or utilities
  • Experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Mandatory Skills: Playwright .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .
