PowerShell Automation Developer

Experience

5 to 10 Years of relevant experience

Job Summary

Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell across Azure, Windows, VMware, and Data Center environments. The role involves automation development, API integrations, troubleshooting, and operational process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop PowerShell scripts, modules, and automation workflows.
  • Build automation use cases for Azure, Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, and other infrastructure platforms.
  • Apply PowerShell concepts such as functions, loops, arrays, hash tables, objects, modules, and conditional logic.
  • Implement exception handling using Try/Catch/Finally blocks.
  • Develop logging, auditing, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Integrate automation solutions with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, Azure, VMware, and ServiceNow.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
  • Maintain code repositories using Git and DevOps practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation and operational runbooks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production automation issues.

Mandatory Skills

PowerShell: Advanced PowerShell Scripting, Functions & Modules, Loops & Conditional Logic, Exception Handling, Logging & Debugging, PowerShell Remoting, Runspaces & Parallel Processing

Development & Automation: REST APIs, Git / Azure DevOps, CI/CD Fundamentals.

Basic Infrastructure Knowledge: Azure, Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Networking Fundamentals.

Additional Skills

  • Azure Automation
  • ServiceNow
  • Kubernetes

Core Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to convert manual processes into automation solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with customer teams
