| Candidate should have fundamental knowledge and work experience in Azure Cloud . Certification in Azure Fundamentals AZ900 is desired |
| Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions using Veeam Backup software. |
| Types of Veeam backup and what type is to be suggested for what kind of transaction and business case |
| Configure and maintain backup policies, schedules, and retention periods to ensure data is protected and recoverable. |
| Monitor backup operations and troubleshoot any issues to ensure successful backups and efficient data restoration. |
| Perform regular testing and validation of backup and recovery processes to verify data integrity and reliability. |
| Collaborate with system administrators, network administrators, and storage administrators to integrate backup systems with existing infrastructure |
| Splunk tool integration of Veeam backup CI, reporting configured for alerts in Veeam console and best practices |
| Assist in capacity planning and performance optimization of backup infrastructure to meet business requirements. |
| Maintain backup documentation, including standard operating procedures and configuration guides. |
| Stay updated with the latest Veeam Backup software versions, features, and best practices. Upgrades, Updates & Migration scenarios faced and handled |
| Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT colleagues regarding backup and recovery processes. |
| Vulnerability and security assessment periodical carried out in Veeam backup and recovery strategy |
| Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and procedures. |
| High availability strategy followed |
| RTO and RPO strategy followed , Replication strategy opted and best practices to be followed |
| Handling severity calls , preparing RCA ( Fishbone analysis , 5 why concepts to assimilate ) or CAPA ( corrective or preventive action) |

Do
- Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup)
- Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution
- Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements
- Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable
- Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
- Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues.
- Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower
- Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges
- Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower
- Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc.
- Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps
- Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness
