Short Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Train Engineer (RTE) with strong delivery leadership and proven experience driving Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in a scaled agile environment. The ideal candidate excels in delivery management, conflict management, stakeholder engagement, and SAFe practices, with additional value placed on experience in Banking/Financial Services and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Release Train Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and facilitate one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs) aligned with SAFe.
  • Organize and drive ART events such as PI Planning, Iteration Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, System Demo, and Inspect & Adapt.
  • Promote adoption of Lean-Agile principles across teams.

Delivery & Execution Management

  • Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, ensuring commitments around scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, impediments, and execution bottlenecks across multi-team programs.
  • Use flow metrics and data-driven insights to improve program predictability.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Build trusted relationships with Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, Business Owners, and Leadership.
  • Communicate delivery progress, risks, decisions, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment between technical and business teams.

Conflict & Risk Management

  • Identify and resolve inter-team conflicts, priority misalignments, and dependency issues.
  • Use strong facilitation and negotiation skills to maintain team health and momentum.
  • Escalate issues responsibly and ensure timely resolution.

SAFe & Agile Expertise

  • Coach teams on SAFe practices, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement.
  • Guide ARTs through maturity uplift initiatives.
  • Support Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) with roadmap planning and program-level forecasting.

Program Performance & Governance

  • Track ART health metrics, predictability scores, and quality KPIs.
  • Ensure program governance alignment and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Champion continuous delivery and DevOps alignment across teams.
Mandatory Skills: ITIL Service Level Mgmt .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
