Job Description

We are building a modern Wipro—one where AI‑native platforms and businesses become enduring engines of non-linear growth. We are creating a distinct AI‑Native Business & Platforms unit—built around product management, engineering, and forward‑deployed engineering—so we can modernize and scale what we already have, build new differentiating platforms, invest and partner where needed, and leverage Wipro’s distribution strength to take platforms global.

Purpose: Use ecosystems to accelerate adoption, innovation, and market reach of Wipro's AI platforms.

Role Overview

  • The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for AI‑Native Businesses & Platforms is responsible for defining and executing the overall marketing, communications, and go‑to‑market narrative for Wipro’s AI‑native platforms and incubated AI businesses.
  • Reporting into Global CMO, Wipro and the CEO, AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit, the role serves as a trusted strategic partner to Product, Engineering, Forward‑Deployed Engineering, Sales, and Ecosystem leadership.
  • The CMO ensures marketing is tightly aligned to business strategy, growth priorities, and platform economics, while building long‑term credibility in the market.
  • The role includes building categories, shaping differentiated platform narratives, enabling large deals, and activating GTM strategies grounded in real client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy, Narrative & Thought Leadership
    • Define and communicate core narratives, positioning, and value propositions for AI-native platforms and businesses.
    • Build a focused ecosystem strategy spanning: cloud partners to host and co‑sell, AI technology firms for integration, data providers, and channel/SI partners.
    • Develop executive content to establish Wipro as a trusted leader in AI and industry transformation.
    • Engage with analysts, media, advisors, and partners to enhance brand credibility. Maintain consistent storytelling across all channels.
  • Go to Market & Growth Enablement
    • Collaborate with business, product, and sales leaders to plan and drive growth, utilizing platform-led go-to-market strategies including subscription, licensing, outcome-based, and partner models.
    • Support major deals through executive storytelling, compelling value propositions, and impactful marketing content.
    • Partner with AI-Native Unit sales, SMUs, and GBLs to implement account-based marketing for key accounts.
  • Product & Field Alignment
    • Work closely with Product Managers and Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure market messaging reflects real platform capabilities, deployment learnings, and customer workflows.
    • Translate field insights, client feedback, and ecosystem signals into sharper positioning and GTM priorities.
    • Ensure marketing remains grounded in product truth rather than aspirational hype.

͏

  • Ecosystem, Brand & External Engagement
    • Build and activate ecosystem and alliance marketing programs with hyperscalers, technology partners, and industry platforms.
    • Structure co‑sell and co‑build partnerships with negotiated terms. Evaluate every partnership through a consumption lens: does it drive usage of Wipro's platforms?
    • Launch partner enablement programs (certification tracks, partner portals, sandbox environments, co‑marketing resources).
    • Work with Wipro Ventures to scout, co‑invest in, and integrate promising AI startups
    • Drive PR, brand, and awareness initiatives in coordination with global corporate marketing—ensuring consistency while retaining platform level differentiation.
    • Drive joint market‑making initiatives — hackathons, developer communities, industry forum presence.
    • Lead executive communications including client briefings, analyst decks, board level narratives, and keynote materials.
  • Leadership & Culture
    • Build and lead a high performing marketing team that values clarity over noise, outcomes over activity, and collaboration over silos.
    • Operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization—aligning stakeholders across product, engineering, sales, HR, and finance.
    • Embody Wipro’s leadership values and 5 Habits for Success: Being Respectful, Being Responsive, Always Communicating, Demonstrating Stewardship, and Building Trust.

Capabilities Required

  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, AI‑driven products, and modern B2B GTM models.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence large, complex enterprise sales cycles and executive decision‑making.
  • Excellence in executive communication and storytelling—capable of simplifying complex technology into compelling narratives.
  • Comfort operating in fast‑evolving environments with emerging products, markets, and categories.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed, global organizations.

Prerequisites:

  • 12+ years of senior marketing leadership experience in B2B technology.
  • Experience marketing enterprise platforms, AI/data products, or SaaS ecosystems (product or platform companies strongly preferred).
  • Track record of supporting large deals, ABM programs, and partner‑led growth.
  • Strong exposure to analyst relations, PR, executive communications, and ecosystem marketing.

Decision rights & interfaces:

  • Owns branding, positioning, messaging, and narratives for AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit and the individual platforms/SLMs (grounded in product truth).
  • Co-decides GTM + launch readiness (tiers, packaging story, enablement, rollout) with Product & Sales.
  • Sets demand/ABM strategy; governs campaign and content priorities.
  • Leads ecosystem and marketplace marketing: partner plays, co-sell motions, and partner enablement programs.
  • Primary interfaces: Product, Sales, FDE, Engineering, Global Corporate Marketing/Alliances, Finance, Legal

Success metrics (12–24 months):

  • Narrative adoption: one messaging house + proof points used consistently in top deals, events, web, and enablement.
  • Growth: marketing/partner-sourced pipeline hits target
  • Credibility: Analyst/media visibility & perception improves (briefings, inclusions, speaking) – distinct brand identity of the AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit.
