Job Description: 

Chief Platform Architect

The Chief Platform Architect role is responsible fordefining and governing the enterprise cloud platform strategy for aviation systems, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance acrossAWS and Azure environments.

This position drivesplatform modernization,multi-cloud adoption, andarchitecture governance for mission-critical aviation applications such as TOPS and CROAMIS. 

Key Responsibilities Platform Strategy & Architecture 

Definemulti-cloud architecture standards for aviation workloads across AWS and Azure. Establishreference architectures for containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker) and hybrid deployments. 

Driveplatform modernization roadmaps, including migration of legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.

Cloud Governance & Compliance ImplementZero Trust Architecture, identity-based access controls, and encryption strategies. 

Ensure compliance withFAA/EASA safety standards, GDPR, and enterprise security policies. 

Participate inArchitecture Review Boards (ARB) and enforce governance across aviation programs. 

Performance & Reliability Designhigh-availability, disaster recovery (DR), and multi-region failover strategies. 

Optimize cost and performance baselines for large-scale aviation operations.

DevOps & Automation DefineCI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices for platform deployments. 

ImplementInfrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, and Crossplane. 

Collaboration & Leadership Work closely withapplication architects,security teams, and business stakeholders. 

Mentor platform engineering teams and lead architectural discussions for aviation modernization. Shape 

Skills Required Technical Skills Cloud Platforms: 

Domain Knowledge Aviation platforms (TOPS, CROAMIS, Crew Management). FAA/EASA compliance and safety standards. 
Mandatory Skills: Solution Architecture .

 

Experience: >10 YEARS .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $200,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
