Job Description

  • Own Production support and engineering for AI/ML and GenAI platform infrastructure across Azure, container platforms, and hybrid estates—ensuring availability, performance, and operational resilience.
  • Design, build, and run MLOps/LLMOps foundations: model/agent deployment pipelines, environment promotion, artefact/version control, and controlled rollouts with rollback for regulated production services.
  • Engineer and operate Kubernetes-based AI workloads (cluster reliability, namespace/security policies, scaling, upgrades, node pools, GPU scheduling where applicable) with clear runbooks and on-call readiness.
  • Implement secure-by-design AI infrastructure controls: secrets management, least privilege access, network segmentation, encryption, vulnerability remediation, and evidence capture for audits and risk reviews.
  • Build automation for platform ops using Python/PowerShell (and orchestration where used): automated provisioning, configuration drift remediation, health checks, patch orchestration, certificate/keys rotation, and self-healing actions.
  • Integrate AI platform operations with ServiceNow ITSM: incident/problem/change workflows, automated ticket enrichment, change risk controls, approvals, and end-to-end traceability of remediation actions.
  • Own observability and reliability engineering for AI services: logs/metrics/traces, SLI/SLO definitions, alert tuning/noise reduction, capacity planning, and performance benchmarking for inference workloads.
  • Lead major incident response (P1/P2) for AI platforms: rapid triage, containment, stakeholder comms, RCA quality, and permanent corrective actions that reduce repeat incidents and improve MTTR.
  • Partner with Data Science, App Teams, Security, and Architecture to standardise platform patterns (golden paths), define operational acceptance criteria, and drive continual improvement and cost optimisation.
