Job Description

Own automation delivery for hybrid platforms (Azure, AVS, Kubernetes) to reduce operational toil, improve service stability, and standardise repeatable runbooks across production estates.Develop and maintain automation tooling using Python and PowerShell (modular, version-controlled) for provisioning, patching, configuration drift remediation, and automated health checks.Implement ServiceNow-led orchestration: automate Incident/Change/Request workflows, integrate monitoring signals, enrich tickets with diagnostic context, and ensure end-to-end audit trails.Apply ITIL-aligned operational controls (change enablement, risk assessment, approvals, backout plans) to ensure automation is safe, compliant, and production-ready.Engineer agentic AI-assisted operations (human-in-the-loop): automate triage, summarisation, recommendation of remediation steps, and execution of approved runbooks with guardrails.Automate EUC and modern workplace operations via Intune and Windows 365 (W365): compliance baselines, app deployment, device remediation scripts, and secure endpoint lifecycle.Drive reliability engineering outcomes by defining measurable SLIs/SLOs, improving MTTR/MTBF, and converting recurring incidents into an automation backlog and permanent fixes.Embed security and resilience by design: secrets management, least privilege, secure scripting standards, evidence capture for audits, and alignment to operational resilience expectations.Lead cross-functional collaboration and mentoring with Platform, Security, Service Desk, and Architecture teams to agree standards, reusable automation patterns, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
