Job Description: 

Performance Test Engineer

Role: Performance Test Engineer / Performance Test Lead

Experience: 5–12 Years

Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute end-to-end performance testing strategies including load, stress, and endurance testing.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools like JMeter (mandatory), LoadRunner, and Neoload.
  • Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights.
  • Perform performance analysis across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather non-functional requirements (NFRs) and translate them into test scenarios. [Performanc...Testing JD | Word]
  • Conduct early performance testing to ensure application scalability and stability.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports and present findings to stakeholders/clients.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with JMeter (mandatory); exposure to LoadRunner, Neoload.
  • Experience working with APM tools such as Dynatrace (mandatory), AppDynamics, Splunk, New Relic, Wily.
  • Good understanding of protocols: Web (HTTP/HTML), Web Services, SAP Web, SAP GUI, True Client, Mobile protocols.
  • Experience testing applications built on.NET, Java, SAP GUI/Web, MQ, etc.
  • Strong scripting skills with ability to write custom code / user-defined functions.
  • Experience in heap dump and thread dump analysis.
  • Knowledge of JVM and CLR architecture.
  • Experience working with Unix/Linux commands (VMSTAT, NMON, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries and tools like SQL Profiler.
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring systems (client, server, DB, network, load balancer).
  • Experience in performance reporting, analysis, and stakeholder communication.
