Job Description

Wipro Consulting is scaling its Life Sciences & Medical Devices consulting business just as AI-driven drug discovery, personalized medicine, and geo-political supply-chain shocks converge. Reporting to the Americas Managing Partner for Life Sciences, you will own C-suite relationships across global biopharma, biotech scale-ups, and MedTech majors originating board-room advisory work that converts into large-scale technology and BPO programs.

Ambition – Expected impact & outcomes

Your remit spans the full product lifecycle re-imagining R&D, digitizing clinical trials, modernizing quality & regulatory, and scaling smart manufacturing while shortening time-to-market and improving patient outcomes. Backed by ~230,000 technologists and proprietary AI accelerators, you will launch signature IP (e.g., benchmarks, data assets, platform ventures) that amplify Wipro’s provider voice. Success will be tracked along three vectors:

1. Impact (e.g., faster trial cycle-times, first-pass regulatory approvals, 100+ bps margin expansion)
2. Growth ($10 M+ new consulting revenue per year, $50 M+ pull-through across tech & BPO)
3. Eminence (top-tier analyst ranking, talent development and thought leadership)

Key responsibilities

• Originate growth: Identify whitespace, craft C-suite narratives, and close $10 M+ advisory bookings annually, anchoring $100 M+ tech/BPO follow-ons
• Advise C-suites: Act as trusted voice on AI-augmented R&D, digital trials, smart factories, and product-as-a-service commercialization to translate vision into funded roadmaps
• Steer transformations: Govern multi-tower programs (PLM modernization, eTMF digitization, connected-device roll-out, GenAI regulatory automation) ensuring benefits realization and CSAT > 4.8/5
• Create IP and ventures: Incubate differentiating benchmarks, twin platforms, and data products; spin out solution ventures with independent growth targets
• Amplify leadership: Publish 3-4 flagship POVs per year, keynote major forums, and secure analyst citations that elevate Wipro’s brand
• Develop talent: Recruit, mentor, and sponsor a diverse cadre of junior partners / senior managers, embed a psychologically safe, high-performance culture
• Forge alliances: Build strategic partnerships with CROs, CDMOs, cloud/hyperscaler labs, and regulators to co-create market offerings
• Own the P&L: Manage full consulting P&L for assigned accounts, drive forecast accuracy, safeguard margins, reinvest in growth accelerators
• Govern practice: Shape investment roadmaps, prioritize solution backlog, and propagate agile ways-of-working across a global delivery footprint`
• Strategy pedigree: 15 + years in top-tier strategy or Big-4 advisory, incl. 7+ yrs life-sciences / MedTech leadership

• Academic Rigor: PhD, MBA, MD, or bio-informatics / biomedical-engineering credentials from a top institution
