Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer based in Costa Rica to design, build, and maintain modern web applications using a combination of front‑end and back‑end technologies.
This role involves working with JavaScript frameworks, API development, micro‑frontend architecture, and cloud‑ready tooling to deliver scalable, high‑quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and modern layout techniques.
  • Build and maintain Single Page Applications (SPA) and contribute to Micro‑Frontend (MFE) architectures.
  • Implement state management solutions such as Jotai.
  • Design, document, and maintain APIs using FastAPI, Node.js, and general API authoring best practices.
  • Contribute to back‑end services using C# and Python where needed.
  • Integrate UI components and design systems such as Grommet.
  • Use GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Test, debug, and optimize applications using tools like Postman.
  • Containerize and deploy services using Docker.
  • Work with ElasticSearch for indexing, search, and data retrieval features.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software on schedule.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive layout techniques.
  • Experience building SPAs and working with MFE architectures.
  • Familiarity with Jotai or similar state‑management libraries.
  • Experience with FastAPI, API design, and RESTful service development.
  • Working knowledge of C# and Python.
  • Experience with GitHub workflows.
  • Proficiency with Docker for development and deployment.
  • Experience using ElasticSearch.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Grommet UI components.
  • Experience with Postman for API testing
