Job Description

The Credit Domain Consultant is responsible for providing deep functional expertise across the credit and lending lifecycle. The role bridges business, risk, and technology teams by translating credit policies, risk frameworks, and product requirements into clear functional specifications and solution guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for credit and lending processes, covering origination, underwriting, approval, disbursement, servicing, monitoring, and closure.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document credit‑related requirements.
  • Translate credit policies, underwriting rules, and risk parameters into functional and system requirements.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of credit and lending platforms across retail and corporate banking.
  • Perform credit risk analysis including exposure, limits, collateral, pricing logic, and portfolio monitoring concepts.
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements (credit risk governance, KYC/AML touchpoints, internal policies).
  • Support SIT/UAT by validating credit functional scenarios, negative cases, and regulatory edge cases.
  • Collaborate with technology, QA, and data teams to ensure accurate implementation of credit functionality.
  • Participate in client discussions, walkthroughs, and solution sign‑offs as a credit domain representative.

    • Retail Loans, Corporate Loans
  • Credit lifecycle processes:
    • Origination & Application Processing
    • Credit Assessment & Underwriting
    • Approval & Limits Management
    • Disbursement & Servicing
    • Monitoring, Collections, and Closure
  • Credit risk concepts:
    • Exposure, Limits, Collateral
    • Risk Rating / Scoring fundamentals
    • Portfolio monitoring and early warning indicators

  • Strong Credit Domain and Lending expertise
  • Business Analysis skills:
    • Requirement gathering
    • Gap analysis
    • Process mapping
    • Functional documentation (BRD / FRD)
  • Stakeholder and client management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
  • Functional understanding of core banking or lending systems (technical depth is a plus)
