Job Description

Project Manager with Data & AI Background

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead critical initiatives that ensure enterprise data is accessible, reliable, and AI-ready through strategic data delivery programs and governance frameworks. This role will be responsible for orchestrating cross-functional projects that transform raw data into actionable, high-quality datasets while establishing the infrastructure and processes needed to deliver data efficiently across the organization for AI and analytics use cases.

Project Leadership and Strategy

Lead end-to-end project management for data readiness assessments, data governance implementations, and organizational change initiatives

Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for complex data and data governance projects

Manage project portfolios involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and technical dependencies

Lead data readiness assessments to identify gaps in data availability, quality, and format requirements

Manage projects for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across multiple data sources and consumer applications

Establish SLAs and monitoring frameworks for data delivery performance, availability, and quality metrics

Implement data governance frameworks that support scalable data delivery while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)

Establish data stewardship programs and quality standards that maintain data integrity throughout delivery pipelines

Coordinate data lineage mapping and impact analysis to support reliable data delivery and change management

Serve as primary liaison between data engineering, data science, business stakeholders, and executive leadership on data delivery initiatives

Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to understand data consumption patterns and delivery needs across business units

Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, data delivery metrics, and performance dashboards

Present data readiness assessments, delivery performance metrics, and project updates to steering committees and leadership teams

experience with SQL or other query-languages

Certification in data management (CDMP), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), or DataOps practices

Experience with agile project management methodologies, DevOps, and DataOps implementation

Deep understanding of data pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data delivery patterns

Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Mandatory Skills: PySpark .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
