Role Purpose
The Data Scientist will rapidly develop and operationalise analytical datasets, metrics, and models that power early PULSE use cases. The role is focused on speed‑to‑value—turning data into decision‑ready insights that make PULSE immediately useful and visibly different, while ensuring solutions are scalable and production‑ready for future phases.

Key Responsibilities
Analytics for Quick Wins
- Build analytical datasets and models supporting early PULSE use cases, including:
- Productivity Cockpits and role‑based insights
- Volume Vault and work‑volume reconciliation
- Overtime, shrinkage, and shift‑level performance insights
- Persona‑led dashboards and early AI‑driven recommendations
- Prioritise minimum‑viable but robust analytics that deliver fast impact and manager trust.
Insight & Model Development
- Create descriptive, diagnostic, and early predictive models that surface clear drivers of productivity, capacity, and cost.
- Engineer metrics and features that are simple, explainable, and actionable for business users.
- Prepare the analytical foundation for progression towards nudges, forecasting, and decision support.
Operationalisation & Architecture Adoption
- Work closely with Data and Solution Architects to operationalise models and insights into the PULSE platform.
- Ensure analytics are production‑ready, monitored, and reusable across additional use cases.
- Contribute to architecture adoption by aligning models to common data structures and patterns.
Trust, Quality & Responsible Use
- Embed validation, monitoring, and data‑quality checks to ensure early insights are trusted.
- Apply ethical and responsible AI principles, particularly when working with workforce and behavioural data.
- Support light‑weight governance and documentation without slowing delivery.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partner with product owners, data engineers, and business stakeholders to rapidly iterate from hypothesis to live insight.
- Support pilots, demos, and early roll‑outs that clearly showcase PULSE’s value and novelty.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Data Scientist delivering analytics or AI solutions in large enterprise environments (financial services preferred).
- Proven ability to deliver fast, business‑relevant insights in early‑stage or scaling platforms.
- Strong skills in:
- Feature engineering and analytical modelling
- Translating data into business‑ready metrics and insights
- Supporting production analytics and model lifecycle
- Experience working with operational, productivity, or workforce data.
- Comfortable working in agile, fast‑paced programmes focused on early value delivery.
