Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled OpenShift Administration and Deployment Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, and ongoing maintenance of our Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments. Because our container infrastructure relies on a robust foundation, strong experience in Linux System Administration is a core requirement for this position. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who understands container orchestration and can optimize our platform for performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
OpenShift Deployment & Management: Plan, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production).
Linux Administration: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot the underlying Linux operating systems (primarily RHEL) hosting the OpenShift clusters.
Cluster Maintenance: Perform routine platform maintenance, including patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and scaling of OpenShift clusters.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization. Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, network, and application deployment issues.
Security & Compliance: Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), security context constraints (SCCs), network policies, and identity management integrations.
Storage & Networking: Configure and manage persistent storage solutions and container networking (e.g., OpenShift SDN, OVN-Kubernetes).
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth containerized application deployments and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of proven experience in installing, configuring, and managing Red Hat OpenShift or Enterprise Kubernetes environments.
Linux Mastery: Strong background in Linux System Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred), including deep knowledge of OS tuning, networking, security, storage management, and troubleshooting.
Containerization: Solid understanding of container runtimes (CRI-O, Podman, Docker) and container orchestration principles.
Networking Knowledge: Experience with fundamental network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Load Balancing) and how they apply to containerized environments.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
