Job Description

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI), and PowerShell scripting. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of Indicator of Attack (IOA) configuration and a proven track record of migrating from other EDR/EPP vendors like CrowdStrike. This role requires sharp troubleshooting skills, a strategic mindset, and an ability to optimize security solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and optimize MDE and MDI solutions to enhance security posture.
- Develop and refine PowerShell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement IOAs to proactively detect and mitigate threats.
- Lead migration efforts from third-party EDR/EPP vendors such as CrowdStrike, ensuring seamless transition and integration.
- Investigate and resolve complex security incidents through advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Provide expert guidance on endpoint and identity security best practices.
ALL YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS
Required Qualifications:
  5+ years of direct engineering experience with MDE and MDI.
  2+ years of hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting.
  Extensive experience in configuring and implementing IOAs.
  Proven track record of successful EDR/EPP migrations, particularly from CrowdStrike.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments.
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure Defender and cloud security solutions.
Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis.
Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Security Certifications).
Stay ahead of evolving cybersecurity threats and Microsoft security technologies.

Experience: 5-8 Years .

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
