Wipro Technologies-USA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Principal Network Architect to join our team onsite in Dallas, TX. This key role involves designing and delivering scalable, secure, and innovative network and infrastructure solutions that support our organization’s digital transformation goals. In this position, you will leverage your deep expertise in network architecture to guide critical technical decisions, influence organizational strategy, and foster collaboration across engineering and product teams.

As an Infrastructure and Platform Architect L2, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and operational excellence of our network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for translating complex business requirements into well-architected network solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across geographically distributed environments.

This role requires proactive leadership in managing technical debt, incorporating security best practices early in solution development, and mentoring other technical professionals. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for system integration and enhancement, driving consistency and efficiency within our technology ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect end-to-end network solutions encompassing LAN/WAN, VoIP/IP telephony, cloud networking, and security infrastructure.
• Lead design and implementation of complex routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, ensuring network scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Drive the management of technical debt and identify opportunities to refactor and optimize existing network systems.
• Conduct thorough root cause analyses, develop action plans to mitigate systemic issues, and lead execution across teams.
• Collaborate with security teams to embed security-conscious design throughout the network architecture lifecycle.
• Mentor and coach engineering teams on network best practices, emerging technologies, and technical craftsmanship.
• Work across organizational boundaries to break down silos, foster strong partnerships, and maximize shared efficiencies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, design blueprints, and operational runbooks.
• Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to align network strategies with business objectives and drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with strong educational and professional backgrounds detailed as follows:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale network infrastructure solutions in production environments.
• Expertise in network protocols and technologies including advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures, Cisco platforms including Meraki and Aruba, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proficient understanding and hands-on experience with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and anycast deployment within enterprise networks.
• Demonstrated technical acumen in SDWAN, MPLS, VXLAN, cloud networking, and interconnected systems supporting high availability and low latency.
• Proven experience integrating SIP architecture with both customized and off-the-shelf (COTS) VoIP solutions within modern telephony environments.
• Exceptional skills in collaborating and communicating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of driving root cause analysis and developing practical mitigation strategies.
• Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture designs, implementation guides, and operational runbooks critical for sustaining network performance and reliability.
• Committed to continuous learning, embracing ambiguity, and translating strategic objectives into actionable network designs.

Preferred certifications and additional technical proficiencies such as Cisco Meraki are advantageous.

Additional Information

This role is classified under the Technology Services sector within Wipro’s Connected NT Intelligence (CNI) practice and requires onsite presence in Dallas, Texas.

The expected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $158,000, commensurate with experience, geographical location, and relevant skills. Wipro also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), and a variety of paid and unpaid leave options.
