Role Purpose

As a  Databricks Architect in Wipro Technologies' Applied AI & Data division, you will design and oversee the architecture of solutions that enable seamless integration and interaction between complex business systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that cross-application workflows and business logic operate cohesively across the organizational technology landscape. This role demands a blend of technical acumen, innovative thinking, and the ability to align technology solutions with evolving business needs, ultimately driving digital transformation initiatives forward.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping scalable architectures that support diverse data engineering tasks using Databricks and related technologies. By acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will guide the development of robust, efficient, and secure solutions that enhance system interoperability and optimize overall system performance.

Areas of Responsibility

• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. Participate actively in discussions to clarify solution expectations, ensuring alignment between client needs and architectural capabilities.
• Solution Architecture Design: Develop comprehensive solution architectures that address integration of multiple systems and applications. Design with scalability, performance, and security considerations at the forefront to enable smooth cross-application interoperability.
• Integration Assessment and Support: Continuously assess system dependencies, integration points, and potential bottlenecks. Provide technical guidance to implementation teams to help troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges effectively during development and deployment phases.
• Solution Validation and Troubleshooting: Support rigorous validation activities to confirm that architectural components are functioning as designed. Proactively identify and resolve issues arising during implementation to maintain solution integrity and performance standards.
• Risk Analysis and Performance Monitoring: Evaluate potential risks related to architectural decisions and system performance. Advise on mitigating actions to maintain a resilient and efficient system landscape. Engage in continuous performance monitoring post-deployment to ensure ongoing operational excellence.

Skills

• Advanced expertise in Data Engineering on Databricks platform, including hands-on experience with Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing environments and services, especially within Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, focusing on scalable data solutions.
• Proficient in designing system integration solutions that leverage APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance best practices to ensure data quality and compliance.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL for data processing tasks.
• Competence in applying security principles and practices within solution architecture to safeguard data integrity and privacy.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to diagnose complex integration and performance issues.
• Capability to use architecture frameworks and tools for documentation, visualization, and decision making.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, facilitating collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
