Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DataDog AIOps Solution Architect with 10+ years of IT Operations, Monitoring, Observability, and Cloud experience. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale Observability and AIOps solutions using DataDog across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The role requires expertise in integrating DataDog with tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, ServiceNow, OpenTelemetry, and cloud-native monitoring platforms to drive proactive operations, automation, and business service visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise-wide DataDog AIOps and Observability solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Implement and optimize DataDog capabilities including Infrastructure Monitoring, APM, Log Management, Synthetic Monitoring, Event Management, and AIOps.
  • Architect solutions for event correlation, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, alert noise reduction, predictive monitoring, and automated remediation.
  • Define observability standards, monitoring governance, dashboards, KPIs, SLOs, SLIs, and alerting frameworks.
  • Lead integration of DataDog with SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, ServiceNow, OpenTelemetry, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and GCP Operations Suite.
  • Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Application, and Operations teams to implement monitoring strategies across CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design monitoring solutions for AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, and microservices environments.
  • Drive automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Provide architecture guidance, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Lead monitoring transformation initiatives, capacity planning, cost optimization, and platform governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations, Monitoring, Observability, or Platform Engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on DataDog experience in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale Observability and AIOps architectures.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • DataDog APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Log Management, Synthetic Monitoring, Event Management, AIOps
    • SolarWinds and ThousandEyes integration
    • OpenTelemetry implementation
    • ServiceNow integration
    • AWS, Azure, and GCP
    • Kubernetes, Docker, and Microservices
    • Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform

Preferred Certifications

  • Datadog Certified Professional
  • AWS Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
  • TOGAF
  • ITIL Foundation

Requirement Analysis Participate in requirement discussions with client stakeholders to define solution and implementation level needs basis the business requirements.

Designing Create solution architecture designs to meet cross-system interactions and business logic integration requirements, ensuring system cohesion across multiple applications.

Integration assessment and support Assess and evaluate interactions across multiple applications by evaluating implementation dependencies and integration requirements.

Troubleshooting Support validation of solution components during implementation and ensures the solution functions as designed.
