Role Overview
The Practice Specialist role is a combination of strategic and execution-focused role responsible for driving technology solutions, Customer Engagement, and business growth for key technology clients in the Metro Detroit area This role blends creating Customized solutions with practical and profitable implementation, Stakeholder engagement across SMUs, WE Practices and Delivery teams and Collaborate to deliver impactful presentations to support account expansion and ensure high-quality execution of engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Account Growth & Client Engagement
Primary accountability for revenue and margin of the account/ portfolio
Build strong relationships with client stakeholders (engineering leaders, CDO/ CIO/CTO org)
Identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell within the account
Act as a trusted advisor on technology transformation initiatives
Drive innovation workshops and roadmap discussions
Accountability for revenue and margin of the account.
2. Technology Solutions & Architecture
Lead solution design across Automotive Software (primary,) Platform engineering, Cloud and Infra, Data platforms, AI/GenAI, and emerging technologies
Translate client business problems into scalable, high-impact technology solutions
Collaborate with global practice teams to bring best-in-class engineering solutions
Lead and contribute to RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution pitches
Create compelling value propositions and Deliver client presentations
Partner with SMU account teams to support deal closures and pipeline growth
3. Internal Stakeholder Engagement
Establish strong relationships with SMU teams and Practice teams
Partner with Delivery leadership to have seamless sales to delivery handoff
Work with delivery teams to identify delivery led growth opportunities and also groom new leaders
Support QBRs, Escalations and new innovation bootstrapping
4. Practice Development (value add)
Contribute to building practice capabilities, accelerators, and reusable frameworks
Mentor and develop solution architects and delivery leads
Support thought leadership (whitepapers, case studies, client presentations)
Align with global engineering strategy and offerings

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 12+ years of experience in technology consulting, engineering services, or IT services
• Proven track record with subject matter expertise
• Experience working with large Automotive clients (preferably in Metro Detroit area)
• Strong understanding of end-to-end project/program delivery working in Global delivery model
• Expertise in SDV
Preferred Skills
• Strong understanding of engineering services business models (T&M, fixed price, managed services)
• Experience with global delivery models (onsite-offshore)
• Familiarity with modern architectures (microservices, APIs, event-driven systems) and building innovation at scale
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $200,000.00 to $280,000.00.
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
