Role Overview
Wipro is seeking a visionary Physical AI Practice Lead to build and scale next-generation autonomous industrial services by converging Industrial AI, Robotics, and Connected Enterprise (OT/IoT/Edge).
This leader will drive Wipro’s end to end service offerings from Industrial AI to embodied, autonomous systems that can sense, reason, act, and learn (SRAL) in real-world environments, delivering measurable improvements in productivity, safety, and operational efficiency for our global customers. 
This role will lead Wipro’s evolution from data-driven Industrial AI → real-world autonomous execution (Physical AI) by enabling systems that can sense, reason, and act in the physical environment using robotics, computer vision, and intelligent automation

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Practice Leadership
•    Define and execute Wipro’s Physical AI vision, roadmap, and industry positioning
•    Anchor offerings across: 
o    Connected Enterprise (OT + IoT + Edge)
o    Industry 4.0 / Industry DOT
o    Industrial AI + Robotics convergence 
•    Establish Wipro as a leader in autonomous operations and embodied AI systems

2. Solution & Offering Portfolio
•    Build and scale end-to-end Physical AI solutions portfolio 
o    Robotics & autonomous systems (AMRs, cobots, drones)
o    Vision AI and sensor-driven perception systems
o    AI-driven control systems and adaptive automation 
•    Drive closed-loop intelligent systems: 
o    Sense → Reason → Act → Learn frameworks 
•    Develop offerings across: 
o    Sim2Real, RoboOps, Intelligent Fleet orchestration 
o    Digital twins, synthetic data, robot fleet operations
•    Lead domain-led use cases: 
o    Autonomous manufacturing & shopfloor operations
o    Warehouse automation & logistics robotics
o    Inspection, safety, and predictive maintenance
o    Service AI use cases across retail, facilities, and infrastructure

3. Program Delivery & Transformation Execution
•    Lead large-scale Physical AI transformation programs
•    Oversee full lifecycle: 
o    Design → Simulation → MVP → Deployment → Scale 
•    Deliver tangible impact: 
o    OEE improvement
o    Cost optimisation
o    Downtime reduction and safety improvement
•    Orchestrate cross-disciplinary teams across AI, robotics, IoT, engineering, and cloud

4. Client Advisory & CXO Engagement
•    Partner with CXOs (COO, CTO, CIO, Plant Heads) to: 
o    Define autonomy and automation strategies
o    Develop Physical AI adoption roadmaps
•    Lead consulting-led value articulation and ROI-driven transformation programs 
•    Position Physical AI as the next frontier of Industry 4.0

5. Ecosystem & Partnerships
•    Build strategic partnerships across: 
o    Robotics OEMs and automation providers
o    Hyperscalers (Azure, AWS) and AI ecosystem (e.g., NVIDIA) 
•    Enable edge-to-cloud architectures for autonomous systems
•    Drive co-innovation (simulation platforms, robot OS, digital twins)

6. Growth, GTM & Commercialisation
•    Define and drive Physical AI Go-To-Market strategy
•    Lead large deals across: 
o    Automation, robotics, and AI-led transformation
•    Build reusable: 
o    IP, accelerators, frameworks, and service bundles
•    Scale across key segments: 
o    Manufacturing
o    Warehousing & logistics
o    Service industries and facilities management

7. Capability Building & Operating Model
•    Build and mentor multi-disciplinary Physical AI teams
•    Develop capabilities in: 
o    Robotics engineering
o    Computer vision, control systems
o    Industrial AI and OT systems integration 
•    Establish governance, delivery frameworks, and operational KPIs
•    Enable innovation-to-deployment pipeline with CTO and ecosystem partners

Experience & Qualifications
•    15–20+ years in: 
o    Robotics / Industrial automation / AI / Industry 4.0
•    Proven track record in: 
o    Building and scaling automation or robotics practices
o    Leading global transformation programs 
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (Robotics/Mechatronics/AI preferred)
•    MBA preferred
•    Location: New Jersy, USA

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $190,000.00  to $265,000.00.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
