Role - Senior Telecom Security Analyst
Location - Doha, Qatar
Work mode - Onsite
Required Skills & Experience
· 5–7 years of professional experience in Telco Security, Security Operations, or Core Network Engineering.
· Extensive knowledge of core components for 2G/3G/4G/5G networks, including MSC, SGSN, GGSN, MME, HSS, PCRF, AMF, SMF, UPF, eNodeB, and GNodeB.
· Experience in signaling security, including SS7, Diameter, SIP vulnerabilities, and use of signaling firewalls.
· Proficiency in SIM and identity management (SIM provisioning, IMSI/IMEI management, EAP-AKA, USIM security, and eSIM lifecycle management).
· Expertise in 5G and LTE security, including knowledge of 5G SA/NSA, SBA, SEPP, network slicing security, and virtualization risks.
· Understanding of RAN security, including securing eNodeBs/gNodeBs, backhaul encryption, and physical site protection.
· Experience in VoLTE/VoWi-Fi/IMS security, including SIP over TLS, SRTP, session border controllers (SBCs), IMS core security posture, and lawful interception controls.
· Proven ability in SMS security, including analysis of SMS firewall logs, SMS fraud detection, spoofing, and identification of interconnect abuse.
· Strong proficiency in developing SIEM/SOAR use cases for telecom signaling mobility, authentication, session management, and interworking layers.
· Solid grasp of threat intelligence as it applies to Telecom and 5G networks.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Security.
· Relevant certifications such as CCSP, GCIH, or Security+.
· GSMA Security training, ETSI/5G security workshops, or vendor-specific training (Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, etc.).
· Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM platforms.
· Extensive knowledge of GSMA SEC/FS and 3GPP Security documentation.
· Experience working in Telco environments or with security vendors.
