Enterprise Architect L2 - Role Overview

As an Enterprise Architect L2 at Wipro Technologies, you will play a crucial role in shaping and overseeing the architectural governance across multiple business programs. This individual contributor role focuses on establishing and enforcing solution governance frameworks to foster standardization, risk mitigation, and streamlined interoperability. Your efforts will ensure that enterprise applications and solutions comply with security standards, regulatory demands, and align tightly with organizational objectives.

Working within the Technology Services sector, under the TTMS - Tech Transformation & Adv (ICD) practice, you will help drive architectural consistency while facilitating modernization initiatives that enable transformational growth and cloud readiness. You will be a key influencer, collaborating cross-functionally with program stakeholders, IT leadership, and technology teams to ensure that the enterprise architecture roadmap reflects both current and future state strategic priorities.

This role is suited for candidates with deep expertise in enterprise-level architecture and application portfolio rationalization, who demonstrate thought leadership and technical governance capabilities to guide complex modernization programs within a dynamic, innovative environment.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Requirement AnalysisLead the development and enforcement of governance frameworks that guide requirement elicitation across integrated programs, ensuring alignment with compliance policies and solution architectural standards. Facilitate requirement validation sessions to prioritize business and technical needs effectively.
Designing and Architecture ValidationOversee architecture design reviews to validate adherence to security, interoperability, and compliance guidelines. Develop and champion reusable architectural patterns and frameworks that accelerate large-scale solution delivery while maintaining best practices.
Integration Assessment and SupportFormulate and govern integration strategies including API policies, security protocols, and interoperability standards. Monitor integration solutions across multiple programs to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security compliance.
Troubleshooting and Issue ResolutionIdentify and analyze repetitive architectural issues impacting solution stability. Recommend and validate corrective measures through governance oversight, ensuring issues are remediated effectively and sustainably.
Risk Analysis and ManagementEstablish a comprehensive risk management framework tailored for enterprise programs, articulating policies, processes, and controls. Conduct impact analyses for significant architectural changes and oversee mitigation planning aligned with security and regulatory requirements.

Additional Contributions and Leadership

Request for Proposal (RFP) SupportProvide strategic input to proposals including solution requirements, integration frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and reusable design assets. Ensure submissions are aligned with client goals, regulatory prerequisites, and performance deliverables.
Thought LeadershipDevelop and publish whitepapers, frameworks, and points of view that establish Wipro Technologies as an industry leader. Represent the company in external forums, sharing insights into enterprise architectural trends and innovations.
Competency DevelopmentDrive team and community competency-building initiatives through structured learning programs, certifications, and knowledge exchange platforms focused on emerging technologies and architectural best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture strategic relationships with executive technology leaders including CIOs, CTOs, and architects to influence and shape enterprise-wide architectural directions.
  • Lead and coordinate Application Portfolio Rationalization efforts, including Discovery, Cloud Readiness Assessments, and crafting comprehensive modernization roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth application assessments and develop clear retain/retire/rehost/replatform/refactor/replace recommendations to optimize technology investments.
  • Provide authoritative technical governance and architectural leadership for cloud migration and modernization projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance frameworks.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 12 to 15+ years of professional experience in IT consulting, enterprise architecture, or cloud modernization within complex organizations.
  • Strong proficiency with Application Portfolio Rationalization (APR) methodologies and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Expertise in Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including extensive experience in cloud migration strategies and modernization initiatives.
  • Skilled in analyzing technical debt, conducting application assessments, and delivering business case and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses.

Preferred Certifications

  • TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture credential highly desirable.
