Job Description

Role Title: ITIL Change Manager  
Reporting To: ITSM Head / Service Delivery Manager / IT Operations Head  
Location: Ahmedabad 

Role Purpose:  
The ITIL Change Manager is responsible for planning, authorizing, and overseeing changes across IT infrastructure to ensure minimal disruption, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The role balances agility with stability, optimizing change success and service continuity.

Key Objectives:  
- Govern and enforce ITIL Change Management processes  
- Minimize service disruption and business impact  
- Oversee compliance, audit readiness, and traceability  
- Optimize change implementation and deployment quality

Scope of Responsibilities:  
- Manage Requests for Change (RFCs): logging, validation, risk assessment, and traceability  
- Classify and process change types: standard, normal, and emergency  
- Coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Emergency CAB (ECAB) meetings  
- Plan and schedule changes, preventing conflicts and ensuring alignment with business needs  
- Monitor change execution, oversee implementation and rollback procedures, and provide escalation when necessary  
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive corrective actions  
- Track and report change KPIs, including success rates and compliance  
- Integrate effectively with Incident, Problem, Release, and Configuration Management processes  
- Ensure accurate CMDB updates and drive automation in change workflows  
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors, enforcing compliance and managing risks

Skills & Competencies:  
- Strong expertise in ITIL Change Management  
- Technical understanding of infrastructure, applications, and networks  
- Effective risk assessment and impact analysis  
- Decision-making, stakeholder management, and documentation excellence

Qualification & Experience:  
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Engineering  
- ITIL v3 Intermediate (Change / SO) or ITIL 4 Managing Professional (preferred)  
- 6–12 years of IT Operations experience, with 3–5 years in Change Management / Release roles
