Wipro is seeking a senior leader to build and scale its Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) organization as a core pillar of the company’s AI‑led transformation strategy. Reporting to the Global Head of FDE, this role will lead a global, high‑impact team that embeds directly with Wipro’s most strategic clients to deliver end‑to‑end enterprise AI transformations—from value discovery and rapid prototyping to production‑grade deployment of AI agents, platforms, and ecosystems.

This leader will define, operationalize, and scale Wipro’s FDE service portfolio across BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecom, and Energy. The role sits at the intersection of consulting, applied AI engineering, and platform innovation, requiring strong technical credibility, commercial acumen, and executive‑level leadership to drive measurable business outcomes while building durable client AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, hire, and lead a global FDE organization comprising Forward Deployment Engineers, AI Solution Architects, Engagement Managers, and Platform Specialists.
  • Establish hiring standards, onboarding programs, capability frameworks, career paths, and repeatable delivery playbooks aligned to Wipro’s Applied AI talent and delivery model.
  • Define scalable delivery approaches across agentic AI, LLM integration, AI platform modernization, MLOps/LLMOps, and enterprise SDLC integration.
  • Own delivery excellence for Tier‑1 enterprise and strategic AI transformation programs that require deep, hands‑on engineering beyond standard models.
  • Partner with Sales, Consulting, and Account teams to define target accounts, AI value hypotheses, and engagement triggers.
  • Architect multi‑agent systems, AI Centers of Excellence, domain accelerators, and enterprise‑scale reference architectures.
  • Balance bespoke client engagements with repeatable, industry‑aligned AI offerings using Wipro’s platforms and partner ecosystem.
  • Shape Applied AI platforms, accelerators, solution roadmaps, and GTM strategies based on field insights and client needs.
  • Establish operating models, handoffs, and governance across Consulting, Delivery, Managed Services, and Partners.
  • Drive commercial discipline, including scoping, pricing, IP governance, capacity planning, and outcome measurement (time to value, adoption, ROI).
  • Create executive visibility through QBRs, lighthouse wins, reference architectures, and quantified business impact.

Experience and Profile

  • 10+ years in engineering, platforms, or applied AI, with 5+ years leading global technical teams.
  • Proven experience building and scaling new organizations or practices within large enterprises.
  • Strong foundation in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, SDLC, and AI/ML systems, with hands‑on technical credibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to define AI consulting offerings, value‑based commercials, and navigate complex Fortune 500 transformation cycles.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership across sales, consulting, engineering, delivery, and partner ecosystems.

Why This Role Matters
This role will shape how Wipro delivers enterprise‑grade AI transformation at global scale—turning Applied AI ambition into repeatable, production‑ready reality while creating referenceable client successes and scalable AI platforms.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $180,000.00  to $270,000.00.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
