Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, results-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue growth for our Product Engineering and IT Outsourcing services, with a strong focus on Private Equity–backed portfolio companies and Hi-Tech / ISV businesses.

This role is responsible for new logo acquisition, account expansion, and strategic relationship development, working closely with delivery, solution architects, and executive leadership to position differentiated, high-value engineering and digital transformation offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Growth:

  • Own and drive end-to-end sales strategy for Product Engineering and IT Outsourcing services.
  • Build and execute a pipeline focused on PE portfolio companies and Hi-Tech / ISV clients.
  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue and booking targets.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting to contract closure.
  • Private Equity Focus
  • Develop trusted relationships with Private Equity firms, operating partners, and portfolio company executives.

Identify opportunities around:

  • Platform modernization
  • Cloud & data transformation
  • Product engineering acceleration
  • Cost optimization and carve-outs
  • Post-merger integration (PMI)
  • Act as a strategic advisor to PE sponsors and portfolio leadership teams.
  • Hi-Tech & Product Engineering

Sell services across:

  • Product engineering & platform development
  • Embedded & digital engineering
  • Cloud, DevOps, data, and AI
  • Application modernization and managed services
  • Engage CTOs, CIOs, CPOs, and Heads of Engineering.
  • Go-to-Market & Solutions
  • Collaborate with solutioning, delivery, and pre-sales teams to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Shape commercial models including managed services, outcome-based
  • pricing, and transformation programs.
  • Provide market feedback to influence offerings, partnerships, and investments.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with executive leadership on account strategy and deal governance.
  • Represent the company at industry events, PE forums, and client executive briefings.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of enterprise sales experience in IT Services, Product Engineering, or Digital Services.
  • Proven success selling to Private Equity–backed companies and Hi-Tech / ISV clients.
  • Strong understanding of outsourcing, offshore/nearshore delivery models, and global engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to close large, complex, multi-year deals.
  • Executive-level communication and negotiation skills.
  • Established network within PE firms, operating partners, or Hi-Tech ecosystems.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with mid-market and large PE firms.
  • Familiarity with value creation frameworks used by PE sponsors.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience.

 What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent achievement of revenue and pipeline targets.
  • Strong penetration into PE portfolios and repeat engagements.
  • Trusted advisor status with C-suite and PE operating partners.
  • Contribution to long-term strategic growth of Product Engineering and IT Outsourcing business.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from 234,000  to 306,000.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
