Job Description

Role : Electrical Design 

Job location : Bengaluru

 

  • Manage all Electrical Infrastructure for new and existing buildings & campuses
  • Prepare Electrical Design Basis ,  Tender documents and drawings , SLDs / Schemes ,  Equipment Sizing , Technical Specifications  , BOQ , Cost Estimations  for Green Field , Brown Field / Retrofit Projects.
  • Support Procurement & Project Team for Technical evaluation of the Bidders , resolve technical queries of Bidders , participating in pre Bid Meetings , carry out detailed tender assessment of Tender  and provide  technical recommendations and ratings
  • Co ordinating with Consultants & Vendors , review and approval of GFC / Shop Drawings , Vendor Engineering Deliverables / Technical Data Sheets for accuracy and adequacy
  • Participating in the Factory Acceptance Tests , supporting for Execution , Testing and Commissioning as required  
  • Ensure all Design work is carried out in accordance to latest IS / IEC / NBC Standards , Local CEIG Rules and regulations and operational & Safety requirements   
  • Coordinate with all Stake holders viz.  architects, consultants, vendors , Inter disciplines Efficient design and comparison of different systems in terms of efficiency, cost and ROI
  • Suggest optimization of electrical system to save energy & cost
  • Coordinate with other Engineers within the company to ensure integrated approach for project design & execution
  • Work with location team to ensure that the drawings are implemented.

 

Other responsibilities:

  • Supporting procurement team on technical analysis of vendor offer, cost analysis, and optimization areas
  • Assisting in establishing requirements and standardizing through the company
  • Manage location project execution teams to ensure quality of deliverables
  • Support location teams for testing and commissioning the system 

͏Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering.
  • Project execution & design experience of ~ 15 + years.
  • Experience in IT office space electrical infrastructure, understand design requirements for office buildings high rises and low rises, commercial, data centers.
  • Experience in retrofit design of Electrical systems.
  • Use of remote monitoring systems to ensure 100% availability of critical electrical systems.
  • Identify service requirements for electrical infrastructure and plan to carry out the same without major shut down requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and identify faults / single point of failures in Electrical systems, both HT and LT sides.
  • Understand lighting systems, controls and align with interior requirements.
  • Skilled at using relevant design software.

  • Ability to work in a cross functional role
  • Good communication skills
  • Multitasking and dealing with ambiguity
  • Skilled at Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel suite
  • Experience in ETAP, DIALux, Autocad, Revit Modelling
