Playwright
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with strong technical proficiency in Playwright and Selenium to ensure the quality and performance of our web applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks to support high-velocity Agile product development.
Key Responsibilities͏
Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with developers and product managers to translate requirements into comprehensive test plans and execution strategies.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira, working closely with engineering teams to root-cause and resolve issues.
Regression & Performance: Conduct functional, smoke, and regression testing for every release, while contributing to performance testing initiatives.
Manual Testing: Perform manual exploratory testing to identify edge cases and validate complex workflows that are not yet automated.
͏Required Qualifications
Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation.
Tool Expertise: Proven proficiency in both Playwright and Selenium frameworks.
Programming Skills: Strong coding skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
API Testing: Experience testing RESTful services using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
Version Control: Proficient in managing test assets with Git.
Methodologies: Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
