We are looking for a highly skilled Exchange & Microsoft Teams Migration Specialist to lead complex migration initiatives involving tenant-to-tenant migrations and the setup and configuration of Exchange and Microsoft Teams. This role requires deep expertise in migrating users, mailboxes, teams, channels, and other assets to the Microsoft 365 cloud environment. In addition to the migration expertise, the role involves providing key operational support for the Business as Usual (BAU) activities within the Exchange and Teams environments. The successful candidate will ensure that migrations are executed seamlessly while providing reliable ongoing support for users and systems post-migration

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead tenant-to-tenant migrations for Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams
  • Plan and execute Exchange migrations (mailboxes, calendars, contacts, permissions)
  • Manage Microsoft Teams migrations (channels, chats, files, meetings, settings)
  • Own end-to-end migration delivery from planning to completion
  • Define migration timelines, risks, and dependencies
  • Ensure minimal downtime and limited business disruption
  • Perform post-migration validation and issue resolution
  • Provide BAU support for Exchange and Teams environments
  • Handle incidents, service requests, and escalations
  • Manage user accounts, access, and configurations
  • Maintain security, compliance, and governance policies
  • Create and maintain migration documentation and runbooks
  • Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and vendors
  • Support user adoption and post-migration stabilization
  • Drive continuous improvements across M365 operations

Key Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange & Teams)
  • Proven expertise in tenant-to-tenant migrations
  • Strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting for Exchange and Teams administration
  • Experience with Azure AD and Azure AD Connect
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Teams Admin Centers
  • Experience managing mail flow, permissions, and identity services
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex M365 environments
  • Experience providing BAU and operational support post-migration
  • Solid understanding of M365 security and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage incidents and service requests independently
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on complex migration projects
