Role Summary 

We’re seeking an ITSM Developer with strong experience building and integrating ITOM/ITSM capabilities on ServiceNow and Valuemation. You will design and deliver catalog-driven services, automation-first integrations, and resilient workflows that adhere to ITOM best practices, while collaborating closely with product owners, platform teams, and operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Design, develop, and test ITOM applications and integrations across ServiceNow and Valuemation, focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability. 

Integrate custom applications with ServiceNow/Valuemation to automate ticket creation and single/multilevel approval flows endtoend. 

Configure and customize ITOM modules to meet business requirements (e.g., Discovery, Event/Alert Management, Service Mapping/Optimization). 

Develop platform logic: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Flow Designer/Workflow, Integration Hub spokes/custom actions. 

Service Catalog development: request models, items, variables, UI, SLAs, approvals, fulfillment tasks, and orchestration. 

Crossmodule integrations: connect ITOM with CMDB, Service Desk/ITSM (Incident, Problem, Request) and automation tools (via REST/SOAP). 

Stakeholder collaboration: translate requirements into technical designs, estimates, and incremental deliverables; demo and document features. 

Troubleshoot and resolve ITOM/ITSM issues using logs, Performance Analytics, and platform diagnostics; drive root cause and prevention. 

Dashboards & reporting: build operational and service KPIs for transparency and decision support. 

Compliance & best practices: enforce coding standards, security, data quality, and change management (update sets/version control). 

Required Qualifications & Skills 

5+ years of ServiceNow ITOM development with working experience on Valuemation (development/configuration). 

Strong understanding of ITOM processes and best practices (discovery, event/alerting, service mapping, operations automation). 

Proficiency in Service Catalog development, JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies. 

Custom REST API–based integrations with automation/orchestration tools; experience with Integration Hub/Spokes. 

ServiceNow development tools: Studio, Update Sets, Flow Designer/Workflow automation; familiarity with CI/CD and version control (e.g., Git). 

Analytical and problemsolving skills with a bias for automation and datadriven decisions. 

Dashboard development using Performance Analytics/Reporting. 

Preferred Skills (Detail) 

Valuemation: development & configuration processes, catalog and workflow setup, approval chains, integration patterns. 

ServiceNow ITOM modules: Discovery, Event/Alert Management, Service Mapping/Optimization, Incident/Problem/Request, Integration Hub. 

Service Catalog & scripting: JavaScript (server/client), Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Glide APIs. 

ITOM best practices: sourceoftruth CMDB, normalized data, governed change, observability integrations, automated remediation. 

Agile methodologies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives; testfirst mindset (ATF where applicable). 

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
