Work Environment:
- Hybrid – from Gdańsk/Warsaw, 3 days from the office

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- First point of escalation for all technical and process issues.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.
- Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager.
- Timely escalation to management.
- Plan and schedule Changes coordinating with different stakeholders.
- Perform Service Requests based on Standard Operating Procedures.
- Service incidents and queries within the agreed service levels.
- Perform RCA for Major Incidents related to his/her/their tower.
- Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement.
- Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individuals to minimize the incidents.
- Hardware troubleshooting & Vendor coordination.
- OS hardening and patching based on security recommendations.
- Software management.
- Provide input for Weekly and monthly status reports.
- Participate in business meetings with various stake holders on a need basis.
- Take corrective action based on the customer satisfaction surveys.
- Work on the service improvement programs.
- Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects.
- Training of new team members.
- Work with project teams for activities such as new server build, OS upgrades, migrations etc.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Expert support experience Application Server and Java/ J2EE applications across multiple test lifecycles and Prod environments.
- Expert level defining and modifying configuration in JBoss such as data sources, listener ports, transports, Plugin, Java Connection artifacts as per testing requirements.
- Expert level experience administering Apache Web Server. Creating Apache start up scripts.
- Modifying Apache configuration such as Document Root, Rewrite Rules and creating virtual hosts.
- Strong experience installing and configuring JBoss, Tomcat and IIS.
- Experience integrating JBoss with web servers (Apache) and databases (Oracle, MySQL).
- Expert level automating common tasks and writing scripts in Python, Ruby, Perl, Korn and Bourne Shell.
- Writing scripts for clearing logs, monitoring server performance, Restarting JVMs, Supporting Distributed Date changes etc.
- Installation, configuration, and administration of IIS.
- Expert knowledge on IIS Security, Generate CSR, install certificates and binding the certs to respective websites.
- Comfortable working with IIS 6 and later - websites, virtual directories, application Pools etc.
- Experience in a Linux / UNIX / Windows distributed enterprise environment is required.
- Experience managing upgrading and patching Apache Tomcat deployments is required.
- Experience managing upgrading and patching other Middleware deployments is required.
- Experience supporting applications using J2EE architecture including WebSphere Application Server/MQ/Tomcat, JBOSS and WebLogic is highly desirable.
- Experience managing Middleware related monitoring tools, including, New Relic, Wily and DT, Splunk.
- Experience managing Middleware security, including participation in security-based audits.
- Experience installing, configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting Middleware software is highly desirable.
Nice to have:
- Certification in JBoss Administration
- Knowledge in other domains such as Storage, Backup, Database and Network.
