e are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DataDog Systems Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising our monitoring and analytics platform, DataDog, across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role involves ensuring system performance, availability, and security while providing actionable insights through comprehensive analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement, configure, and maintain DataDog across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of applications, services, and infrastructure. This includes leveraging integrations with SolarWinds for in-depth network performance monitoring and management, as well as ThousandEyes for end-to-end visibility into the digital experience across the internet, cloud, and SaaS applications.
Develop and maintain dashboards, monitors, and alerts that provide real-time insights into system performance, availability, and security. Utilise the integrated capabilities of DataDog,o create a unified view of IT health, enabling proactive issue resolution and performance optimisation.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate DataDog, SolarWinds,ThousandEyes etc. into the CI/CD pipeline, facilitating continuous monitoring and feedback. This collaboration ensures that all aspects of the system's performance are under surveillance, from the core network to application performance, providing a holistic view of system health.
Optimise the use of DataDog to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high levels of performance and reliability. This involves configuring these tools to complement each other, reducing overlap, and maximising the unique strengths of each platform.
Stay current with new features and technologies related to DataDog, SolarWinds, and ThousandEyes, evaluating and implementing them as appropriate to meet business needs. This includes participating in webinars, workshops, and other learning opportunities to understand how integrations can be enhanced and leveraged for improved monitoring and analytics.

Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in integrating other monitoring tools with Datadog.

Gathering of requirements-Assist in conducting workshops and discussions with client stakeholders to gather business process requirements.

Coding and Configuration-"Develop and deliver code for assigned modules, in alignment with client requirements ensuring proper integration with system components.

Testing and Trial Runs-"Execute testing for assigned modules, validate functionality across required interactions, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.

Implementation-Participate in implementation of software application and its integration with other systems to ensure stability.

Maintain Documentation-Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project specifications, activities, and status, while presenting information using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments, and clear, well-structured code.

Stakeholder Collaboration-Collaborate with cross functional teams  to understand requirements, support development activities, check system compatibility, and ensure solutions meet expected standards.
