Role: IBM Sterling OMS Consultant
Location: Remote in US
Job Description:
- Provide on-site coordination, guidance, and mentorship to a team of offshore and on-site support engineers and developers.
- Manage the queue of incoming support tickets, prioritize demands, and scope the work for each release or resolution.
- Review work and code developed by the team to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings and coordinate with the team to ensure progress is on track.
- Serve as the primary on-site technical contact for major and critical production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex problems within the Sterling OMS environment.
- Work with the helpdesk and business teams to understand and replicate reported issues.
- Ensure that fixes and patches are certified in quality assurance (QA) environments before being deployed to production.
- Interface with multiple levels of client personnel, maintaining and enhancing positive and constructive client relationships.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as middleware, database, and infrastructure teams, to resolve issues.
- Facilitate the change control process and ensure necessary approvals are in place for all code movements.
- Act as a client advocate, utilizing the customer's business perspective to approach issue resolution.
Advise clients and stakeholders on best practices for Sterling OMS software and configurations. - Design and maintain technical architecture documentation for the omnichannel environment.
- Proactively identify recurring critical problems and propose long-term solutions to prevent future issues.
- Contribute to new feature delivery by participating in the requirements and design phases and building proofs of concept when needed
- Deep knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS architecture, including its various modules such as Distributed Order Management (DOM), Global Inventory Visibility (GIV), and Payments
- Proficiency in Java and related technologies for customization and development
- Experience with integration concepts such as REST, SOAP, and APIs
- Strong knowledge of SQL (Oracle or DB2) for database-related tasks.
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
