Scrum Master
Job description and Duties:
Project & Financial Management
- Project Delivery: Lead full project lifecycle—from planning to execution—ensuring timely delivery aligned with business goals.
- Financial Oversight: Handle budget planning, forecasting (EAC, ETC, CV, CPI, SPI), and cost control.
- Cost & Effort Management: Apply estimation techniques (bottom-up, parametric, analogous) and analyze variances to maintain budget and effort alignment.
- Resource Optimization: Allocate resources strategically to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Risk & Change Control: Identify risks early and manage scope changes through financial impact assessments.
- Reporting: Create clear, data-driven dashboards and reports for leadership transparency.
Agile Leadership
- Scrum Facilitation: Lead Scrum ceremonies—daily standups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Agile Coaching: Promote Agile values, fostering creativity and team efficiency.
- Process Management: Ensure adherence to Scrum theory and practices.
- Impediment Removal: Actively resolve blockers to maintain team momentum.
- Team Collaboration: Cultivate a respectful, open environment with strong conflict resolution.
- Backlog Management: Support Product Owner in refining and prioritizing backlog items.
- Goal Alignment: Help clarify team and individual goals.
- Metrics-Driven Improvement: Use metrics (velocity, burndown, user stories) to guide continuous improvement.
Commerce Acumen
- Requirements Translation: Convert business goals into actionable plans and user stories.
- Technical Understanding: Understand development processes (CI, TDD, automated testing) to support team needs.
- Value-Driven Delivery: Focus on delivering incremental, customer-focused value each sprint.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in Project Management or Scrum Master roles, especially in software development.
- Financial Expertise: Strong background in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Agile Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Technical Understanding: Solid grasp of SDLC and ability to communicate with engineers.
- Commerce Knowledge: Familiarity with e-commerce workflows (user journeys, order/payment systems).
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Tools: Proficient in JIRA and other project collaboration platforms.
