Job Description: Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Analyst

Role Purpose

The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Analyst is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality, accuracy, and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The role ensures that all IT hardware assets are correctly tracked throughout their lifecycle, aligned with operational processes, and compliant with organizational standards.

  • SCCM-Related Issue Management
  • Cross-Team Coordination
  • Reporting and Continuous Improvement

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM).
  • Strong understanding of CMDB and asset lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (SNOW)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with reconciliation tools (e.g., Armis, MDE).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Experience in automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Excel advanced functions).
  • Exposure to RFID or asset tracking technologies.

 

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • CMDB data accuracy and completeness rate
  • Reduction in reconciliation discrepancies
  • Audit compliance and physical verification accuracy
  • Timely closure of SCCM-related issues
  • Process improvement implementation and impact.
