Job Description

Looking for a Data Engineer to be based in Horsham:

Key Duties:

    • Lead complex data analysis projects that drive strategic decision-making.
    • Mentor junior data analysts and oversee their projects.
    • Develop, refine, and implement policies and standards for data analysis and handling.
    • Engage directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver comprehensive data insights.
    • Innovate and implement key performance indicators and new data collection and analysis processes
    • Collect and organize data from primary or secondary data sources.
    • Independently analyse and interpret data trends or patterns.
    • Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
    • Provide detailed reports and visualization of data with actionable insights.
    • Collaborate with different functional teams to implement or assess business requirements

Must have skills:

    • Azure Data Factory and Databricks Expertise: Skilled in building, managing, and optimizing pipelines, workflows, and clusters.
    • SQL Proficiency: Advanced skills in writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing queries for performance
    • Advanced use of SQL and proficiency in data modelling.
    • Expertise in data visualization and business intelligence software like Tableau and Power BI.
    • Strong leadership and project management skills.
    • Proficient in statistical programming languages like Python and R.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
