Technical Architect
The Technical Architect develops and maintains the high-level design plan for the overall applications, data and infrastructure architectures. Provides technical leadership across the organization, from top line decision making down to the project planning level. Gains commitment for high-level infrastructure plans, and initiates and participates in projects to evaluate technologies and methods of implementation. Can also be responsible for end to end architectural solution for complex applications.
Key responsibilities
Translate business needs into clear and viable technical solutions.
Design the solution architecture aligned with enterprise standards.
Develop Target Architectures within domain of responsibility that balance business goals, enterprise guardrails & enterprise efficiency mandates.
Make and validate key technical decisions (technologies, integrations, patterns).
Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Identify technical risks and manage technical debt early.
Guide delivery teams on architectural principles and best practices.
Participate in or lead architecture reviews and ensure standards compliance.
Collaborate effectively with IT Team, business functional team, and enterprise architecture.
Technical skills ͏
System & solution design: Ability to design end‑to‑end architectures and define components and flows.
Application architecture: Knowledge of layers, patterns (monolith, microservices), system boundaries, and responsibilities.
Integrations & APIs: Design of system integrations, APIs, events, and messaging.
Data architecture (foundational): Understanding data flows, models, ownership, and data quality.
Azure Cloud & infrastructure awareness: Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms, environments, resiliency, and operations.
Security by design: Identifying risks and designing secure solutions from the start.
Non‑functional requirements (NFRs): Scalability, performance, availability, resiliency, and maintainability.
Technical standards & governance: Applying architectural standards and participating in architecture reviews.
Technology selection: Evaluating and selecting technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Technical debt management: Identifying, documenting, and prioritizing technical debt
Change management approval
Required Functional / Domain Knowledge͏
Business domain understanding: Demonstrated ability to gain aptitude on business domain the solutions support, including key processes, workflows, and business objectives.
Business capabilities & processes: Ability to map business capabilities and processes to technical solutions.
Stakeholder context: Understanding of business stakeholders’ priorities, constraints, and decision drivers.
Product & application landscape: Knowledge of existing applications, platforms, and dependencies within the domain.
Regulatory & compliance awareness: Awareness of domain‑specific regulations, compliance requirements, and governance constraints.
Operational impact: Understanding how solutions impact business operations, support models, and day‑to‑day usage.
Change & impact analysis: Ability to assess functional impact of technical changes on users, processes, and downstream systems.
Business terminology & KPIs: Familiarity with domain language, metrics, and success indicators used by the business.
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
