Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to resolve priority incident tickets and service requests while contributing to incident analysis, change request preparation, and continuous service improvement.

Areas of responsibility           

Triaging and resolution of tickets-"Perform initial triage for high priority incident tickets (P2 tickets) which may have an impact across one or more processes and resolve priority incident (P3) tickets within defined SLAs.

Create log of incidents and Document observations and related root causes, to support in evaluation of mitigation measures. "

Resolution of service Requests-Fulfil software/hardware/network service requests within agreed timeline, ensuring timely completion and adherence to SLAs while maintaining quality and accuracy in request handling.

SLA Monitoring-Monitor SLA timelines for entire lifecycle of high priority incident tickets (P2 tickets). Escalate as needed and participate in weekly or monthly service review meetings with clients and internal teams.

Change request execution-"Create change requests as per the priority of the incident tickets in adherence with the defined guidelines.

Present changes for approval with rollback plans in change approval meetings. Execute approved changes and document post-implementation outcomes."

Incident Analysis-"Analyse nature of incidents to support root cause analysis and related service improvement plans.

Contribute towards development of mitigation action to reduce repeat incidents, by identifying patterns of issues noted."

Senior Azure Platform & DevOps Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Azure Platform & DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, automation, and operational management. This individual will own cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, security, observability, and platform reliability across production and non-production environments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, cloud security, and infrastructure automation in enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, networking, and Kubernetes (AKS) environments.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep), configuration management, and GitOps methodologies.
  • Administer Azure Key Vault, secrets management, managed identities, and workload identity solutions.
  • Manage container platforms, image registries, security scanning, and deployment automation.
  • Support and maintain PostgreSQL, Redis, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, and related data services.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance through WAF, API Management, network policies, vulnerability scanning, and HIPAA-aligned controls.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, incident management, capacity planning, and platform modernization initiatives.
  • Mentor development teams on cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, ACR, APIM, PostgreSQL, Redis, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, ADLS Gen2, and Azure Networking.
  • Advanced Kubernetes administration experience, including cluster upgrades, autoscaling, networking, security policies, and workload identity.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, container security, image management, and registry operations.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and production support best practices.
  • Experience implementing cloud security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and YAML-based automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services such as EKS, ECR, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Knowledge of Databricks, Azure OpenAI, and AI/ML platform deployments.
  • Experience supporting healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with UHG/Optum cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure standards.
