Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to liaison and bridging the gap between customer and Wipro delivery team to comprehend and analyze customer requirements and articulating aptly to delivery teams thereby, ensuring right solutioning to the customer.

Role: Power Utilities Business Analyst

Exp: 5+ Years

Location: Bangalore

NP: Immediate - 30 days

A highly skilled and motivated Power Systems Business Analyst with expertise in delivering IT solutions for Energy and Utilities and electrical engineering background.

Location onsite: Offshore, India

Role Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                  

  • The role is involved in various project activities, from Start-up/Discovery to In-flight phases.
  • Conduct subject research including interviewing SMEs and Project Team. 
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops with various stakeholders
  • Apply Design Thinking, Service Design, and Product focused techniques to understand current processes, user profiles, and prioritising needs, confirm problem statements, and identify opportunities and Minimum Viable Product/Solution
  • Understand the as-is business processes, conduct Gap Analysis and recommend any improvements
  • Produce As-Is and To-Be processes and mapping. 
  • Work with SMEs, Solution Architects and Product Owners to capture outcomes and requirements in the forms of Business Requirement Document (BRD), Functional Specification, Epics, Product Backlog and User Stories based on the project requirements within agile framework.
  • Develop roadmaps in association with project team
  • Identify and document business risks and risk mitigations.
  • Playback the requirements to development teams and provide clarifications.
  • Perform option analysis and document findings using given template to prepare and produce Project Investment Papers.
  • Support Project Team to scope out next phase of requirement activities.

Requirements (Must have)

  • Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in delivering IT solutions for Power Utilities and Renewable Energy clients.
  • Proven Business Analyst expertise with extensive project experience across the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) with 6 to 13 years of Overall IT experience.
  • Experience in Agile and scaled agile framework.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps/JIRA / confluence or similar tools to manage the product backlog
  • Extensive experience in operating in different project phases (ranges from Discovery to Post Implementation support).
  • Knowledge on common non-functional requirements for a given project
  • Skilled in requirement elicitation and documentation, UML design and data modelling.
  • Experience of facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders at all levels and functions of the business
  • Experience in conducting option analysis and documentation of investment case and other artefacts as required.
  • Effective communicator able to communicate with different areas of the business and stakeholder management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experienced with providing functional support for systems integration and testing activities
  • Experience of working within complex project matrix environments, with both internal and 3rd party resources
  • Experience in Portfolio Management.
  • Knowledge in Cloud and typical solution components for UI, Data, Integration, Security etc.                                                                                                                 
  • Experience in the application of Design Thinking Approach
  • Change Management & Release Management experience and liaising with teams for strategic planning and business roadmap definition

2. Knowledge Management No. of whitepapers/ research papers written, no. of user stories created, % of proposal documentation completed and uploaded into knowledge repository, No of reusable components  developed for proposal during quarter
