Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to bridge client's functional and technical requirements at the module level by assisting in outlining technical specifications, performing basic configuration, and troubleshooting initial system issues.

Areas of Responsibility         

Requirement Gathering-Understand the functional requirements and assist in translating these into technical specifications.

Configuration and Customisation-"Assist in performing coding, configuration, and minor customisations as per defined design and development standards."

Technology Harmonisation-Support integration testing by validating interface behaviour and identifying basic issues.

Troubleshooting and optimisation-Support troubleshooting activities and help resolve basic technical issues related to performance or configuration of a specific module.

Documentation-Assist in preparing user documentation, configuration notes, and testing artefacts for a specific module.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated D365 F&O Developer with 5-6 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting D365 F&O solutions to meet business requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise in X++, integrations, reporting, data migration, and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement customizations in D365 F&O using X++.
  • Develop and maintain Extensions, Chain of Command (CoC), Event Handlers, Forms, Tables, Views, Classes, and Batch Jobs.
  • Create Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and support Functional Design Documents (FDDs).
  • Develop SSRS reports, Electronic Reporting (ER), and Power BI reports.
  • Build and maintain integrations using:
    • Data Entities
    • OData Services
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • Custom Services
    • Azure Integration Services
  • Perform data migration activities using Data Management Framework (DMF) and Data Entities.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to analyze business requirements and design technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and provide production support.
  • Manage source control, deployments, and release activities using Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  • Participate in unit testing, SIT, UAT, and Go-Live support activities.
  • Ensure coding standards, best practices, and documentation are followed.
  • Support application upgrades, Microsoft updates, and ISV solution deployments.
