Wipro Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer L1 to join our dynamic Technology Services team. This role is pivotal in supporting our ambitious digital transformation initiatives by leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence and data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.

As an AI Engineer L1, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI and machine learning models, with a strong emphasis on data processing and analytics utilizing GCP BigQuery. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience who are passionate about evolving their career in the applied AI domain within a global, purpose-driven organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and implement AI and machine learning models to address complex business challenges across various industry sectors.
  • Leverage Google Cloud Platform services, primarily BigQuery, for data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and visualization to feed AI models efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimize existing AI workflows and datasets to improve performance, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Create comprehensive documentation detailing model development, deployment processes, and maintenance guidelines to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies, applying best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving AI solution issues post-deployment to ensure seamless operations and high reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, with mandatory expertise in BigQuery for handling large-scale data analytics and processing.
  • 3-5 years of experience with AI and machine learning development, preferably in cloud environments.
  • Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python or Java, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and SQL query optimization within BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.
  • Ability to comprehend complex datasets and transform them into actionable insights to enhance AI model accuracy and efficacy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication and collaboration abilities to work within diverse teams.
