Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Terraform / Azure)
About the role We're looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of an Infrastructure-as-Code platform on Microsoft Azure and the CI/CD pipelines that deploy and operate it. You'll work across networking, identity, secrets management, databases, and compute, with Terraform as the primary tool and Azure DevOps as the delivery pipeline.
What you'll do - Design, build, and maintain Terraform modules and environment configurations for Azure infrastructure (resource groups, storage, Key Vault, managed databases, networking, load balancers/application gateways, virtual machines).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, YAML) that run Terraform plan/apply with proper review and approval gates across multiple environments.
- Manage identity and access: Workload Identity Federation (OIDC) for pipelines, managed identities for compute resources, and RBAC role assignments following least-privilege principles.
- Operate private networking: VNets, subnets, private endpoints, private DNS, and network security groups; troubleshoot connectivity between private workloads. - Manage secrets end-to-end: Key Vault provisioning, RBAC-based access control, secret rotation, and safe handling of credentials in CI/CD.
- Administer self-hosted CI/CD agents (Linux), including provisioning, tooling installation, and registration via managed identity.
- Support relational and non-relational managed databases (MySQL-compatible and MongoDB-compatible flexible/managed offerings), including connectivity, backup, and basic operational support.
- Collaborate with security and network teams on firewall requests, certificate management, and compliance requirements.
- Document infrastructure decisions and operational runbooks for the rest of the team. -Azure monitor and KQL

What we're looking for
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, in a production cloud environment.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Azure: networking (VNets/subnets/private endpoints), Key Vault, managed databases, Application Gateway, and virtual machines.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines/YAML or equivalent), including multi-stage workflows with manual approval gates.
- Comfortable with Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS or similar) and basic shell scripting (Bash).
- Understanding of cloud identity and access concepts: OIDC/Workload Identity Federation, managed identities, and RBAC.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code review).
- Clear written communication — you'll be documenting infrastructure for other engineers to pick up.
͏
Nice to have - Experience with Terraform Cloud / HCP Terraform (remote state, private module registries, run workflows).
- Exposure to MongoDB-compatible or other NoSQL managed services.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and data classification requirements.
- PowerShell scripting experience alongside Bash.
