Primary Skill: - Postgre DBA in Azure cloud

Secondary Skill: - Snowflake
Pune / Hyderabad: (Work from Office) - Pune/Hyderabad
Experience: 5 - 10 years

Job Description:

• Strong hands-on experience PostgreSQL databases in Azure Environment

• Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing tuning strategies for queries, indexes, and overall system efficiency.

• Execute database schema and code changes, perform bottleneck analysis, and ensure efficient server/database performance, including recovery and restores when needed.

• Solid understanding of DDL creation and implementation to support development efforts.

• Knowledge of database security concepts, including users, roles, and privileges.

• Strong performance tuning skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues.

• Ensure compliance with vendor license agreements to maintain legal and operational integrity. Work efficiently within a high security environment (Ethoca is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified).

• Handle various reporting and data export/import tasks, working with different formats like CSV, XML, and unstructured data.

• Provide on-call support during after-hours and weekends as required.

• Experience working with cloud PaaS database services, Jenkins, gitlab/git-bucket and Linux/Unix experience.

• Security knowledge & experience (Ex. Database Encryption/masking/Certificates/PKI/SSH/VPN)

Azure technologies experience:

• Experience on cloud database deployment using terraform.

• Networking experience (Ex. TCP/IP, UDP, Routing, Firewalls, load-balancers)

• PCI-DSS or similar experience (ex. financial/government/healthcare)
Mandatory Skills: PostgreSQL Database Admin .
