Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to design, test and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications which needs to be deployed at a client end and ensure its meet 100% quality assurance parameters

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP BODS environments (including Designer, Repository, Job Server, Access Server, and Management Console).
• Manage and maintain central and local repositories and ensure synchronization.
• Monitor BODS job executions, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance.
• Administer and manage Data Quality and Data Integration processes.
• Apply patches, security updates, and version upgrades as needed.
• Perform backup and recovery of BODS repositories and server configurations.
• Ensure secure and proper access by managing user roles and privileges.
• Work closely with ETL developers to deploy and migrate jobs across development, QA, and production environments.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident resolutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage server and storage capacity planning.
• Support audits, compliance, and data governance initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in SAP BODS administration.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and data quality management.
• Proficient in troubleshooting BODS job failures and performance tuning.
• Experience with Windows/Linux server environments and database platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, or HANA.
• Familiarity with BODS scripting, job scheduling tools, and monitoring tools.

• Thorough experience in Unix shell scripting .
• Understanding of SAP ECC, BW, and S/4HANA integrations (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP BODS Certification.
• Experience with Data Services in cloud platforms (AWS).
• Knowledge of SAP Information Steward.
