SAP Data Migration Cockpit

SAP Data Migration Lead Consultant

Location: Hyderabad


Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end data migration for SAP S/4HANA implementation, including strategy definition, planning, design, build, mock runs, and final cutover. Ensure optimized migration approach, quality management, and successful integration with SAP MDG and other systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Define Data Migration Strategy, governance, and approach for migration from old to new organizational structure with company code setup .
• Understand source and target systems landscape and prepare detailed migration plan.
• Compile migration inventory and perform Data Profiling & Quality Assessment.
• Design migration components and optimize approach for performance and accuracy.
• Prepare Source-to-Target Mapping, conversion rules, and transformation logic.
• Manage ETL processes using SAP BODS for extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Build conversion, cleansing, load, and validation components.
• Execute Mock Migration Runs, validate migrated data, and reconcile balances.
• Perform Final Migration including production cutover and incremental catch-up loads.
• Ensure Error Handling, Reconciliation, and Validation Reports are in place.
• Coordinate Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT support for migration scenarios.
• Prepare and maintain Migration Cockpit templates for master and transactional data.
• Collaborate with functional teams like FI,MM,PS etc for mapping and validation of business-critical data.
• Manage Cutover Planning and post-migration hypercare support.
• Deliver key artifacts: Migration Strategy Document, Mapping Sheets, Mock Migration Report, Final Migration Report.
Required Skills & Expertise
• 8+ years of experience in SAP Data Migration projects, with strong expertise in S/4HANA migration strategy, ETL processes, and data governance for S/4HANA projects.
• Expertise in ETL tools (SAP BODS) and SAP Migration Cockpit.
• Knowledge of Source-to-Target Mapping, Data Conversion, and Transformation Rules.
• Hands-on experience in Data Cleansing, Validation, and Reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Master Data (Vendor, Material, Service) and Transactional Data migration.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Error Handling, and Quality Management.
• Ability to manage Mock Runs, Cutover Planning, and Go-Live Support.
• Strong coordination skills with functional and technical teams.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
