Senior Azure Management & Migration Engineer (Azure Cloud Operations & Modernization)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Management & Migration Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, specializing in Azure Backup & Recovery, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Advisor, Azure Migrate, Governance, and Cloud Modernization Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, administering, automating, and optimizing Azure environments while ensuring high availability, disaster recovery readiness, security compliance, and seamless migration of enterprise workloads to Azure.
The engineer will act as a technical SME for Azure management services, driving operational excellence, cloud governance, business continuity, migration strategies, and continuous service improvement initiatives for global enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
Azure Backup & Recovery Services
Design, implement, and manage Azure Backup solutions using Recovery Services Vaults.
Configure backup policies for VMs, SQL, SAP HANA, Azure Files, and PaaS workloads.
Perform backup monitoring, restore validation, and recovery testing.
Implement ransomware protection, backup immutability, and retention management strategies.
Analyze recovery trends and optimize backup costs through lifecycle management.
Azure Site Recovery (ASR) & Disaster Recovery
Design and maintain enterprise DR solutions using Azure Site Recovery.
Configure replication, failover, failback, and recovery plans for mission-critical workloads.
Conduct DR drills and business continuity validation exercises.
Optimize RPO/RTO objectives aligned with customer business requirements.
Automate recovery workflows using Azure Automation and Runbooks.
Azure Migration & Modernization
Lead migration initiatives using Azure Migrate.
Perform discovery, dependency mapping, and workload assessments.
Execute Rehost, Replatform, and Modernization strategies.
Support datacenter exits and cloud transformation programs.
Migrate workloads across Azure regions and hybrid cloud environments.
Perform tenant-to-tenant and subscription migrations.
Azure Resource Manager & Infrastructure as Code
Develop and maintain ARM Templates, Bicep templates, and IaC deployments.
Standardize Azure resource provisioning through automation.
Create reusable templates for networking, storage, compute, monitoring, and security resources.
Implement CI/CD deployment pipelines integrated with Azure DevOps.
Azure Governance & Advisory Services
Utilize Azure Advisor recommendations to improve performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Implement Azure Policy, RBAC, Resource Locks, Management Groups, and Landing Zones.
Drive governance, compliance, and operational best practices.
Conduct cost optimization and cloud health assessments.
Monitoring & Operational Excellence
Manage monitoring solutions using:
o    Azure Monitor
o    Log Analytics
o    Application Insights
o    Azure Service Health
o    Resource Health
Perform proactive capacity planning and service optimization.
Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
Ensure adherence to SLAs, OLAs, and compliance standards.

Must Have
5+ years of Azure administration and cloud operations experience.
Strong expertise in Azure Backup and Disaster Recovery.
Hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery implementation and DR testing.
Experience with Azure Migrate assessments and migrations.
Expertise in ARM Templates, Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code.
Strong knowledge of Azure governance and resource lifecycle management.
Experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI automation.
Deep understanding of Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
