Senior Manager - Training & Capability Development - Hyderabad (GIS/Labeling)

Role Purpose:

 The Senior Manager - Training & Capability Development will own the end-to-end learning, knowledge, certification, nesting, and workforce-readiness framework for a high-growth operation supporting complex mapping, labelling, data annotation, geospatial, computer vision, and AI data workflows. The role is accountable for converting business requirements into hiring skills, learning architecture, production readiness, and sustained post-training performance. This is a leadership-of-leaders position with responsibility for Managers, Deputy Managers, Assistant Managers, training leads, SMEs, and an extended organization of approximately 100+ trainers across multiple business units and workflows.

End-to-End Accountability

• Own the complete training lifecycle from skill definition and hiring readiness through curriculum governance, certification, nesting, deployment, post-training performance, and continuous capability improvement.

• Sign off the skills, competencies, experience requirements, and selection criteria included in job descriptions for new hires, in partnership with Recruitment, Operations, Quality, HR, and Workforce Management.

• Approve training need analyses, curriculum structures, lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, simulations, assessments, certification standards, and re-certification requirements for all training types.

• Ensure each learning intervention is aligned to workflow complexity, policy requirements, quality standards, productivity expectations, safety considerations, and downstream business impact.

• Own training effectiveness beyond completion and certification, ensuring associates exiting training and nesting meet or exceed defined business KRAs, quality thresholds, productivity goals, throughput expectations, and client SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Strategy, Framework & Governance

• Define and govern the overall capability strategy for new-hire training, upskilling, cross-skilling, refresher training, remediation, policy-change training, SME development, trainer certification, leadership development, and re certification.

• Create quarterly, bi-annual, and annual training strategies aligned to growth plans, workflow launches, volume forecasts, technology changes, policy updates, quality trends, and client priorities.

• Establish standardized governance, approval controls, review cycles, version management, and effectiveness measures for learning assets and programs.

Curriculum, Lesson Plan & Certification Governance

• Provide final review and approval for lesson plans and learning content across classroom, virtual, simulation, OJT, nesting, refresher, remediation, and digital learning formats.

• Ensure curricula incorporate domain concepts such as mapping, geospatial data, annotation and labelling, scenario interpretation, computer vision, human-in-the-loop decision making, quality validation, and policy-based judgment.

• Govern assessment design, pass criteria, certification gates, practical demonstrations, calibration standards, and exception-management processes. • Ensure learning materials remain current following process, product, policy, platform, tooling, or quality changes.
